Public forums are now underway across the Territory as part of the economic summits. Attending a forum is only one of the ways that Territorians can participate. Feedback can also be provided through online surveys, online direct feedback, emailing submissions or calling 1800 733 458.

Following the Christmas and New Year break, the economic summits team are continuing to meet with stakeholder groups including the Darwin Major Business Group, Civil Contractors Federation NT, Extractive Industries Association, NT Road Transport Association, and Tourism Top End.

Territorians encouraged to participate in economic summits

The Northern Territory Government is holding a series of economic summits across the Northern Territory in partnership with independent consultants Deloitte.
From the summits, a co-designed economic development framework will be developed.

January update on the economic summits

The Northern Territory Government is holding a series of economic summits across the Northern Territory in partnership with independent consultants Deloitte. The first phase of consultations was held in Darwin, Katherine, Nhulunbuy, Tennant Creek and Alice Springs with industry groups, business, regional economic development committees and local stakeholders. Over 114 organisations and in excess of 250 individuals were consulted during this phase.

Economic Summit series enters new phase

More than 114 organisations and 250 people have taken part in the extensive first round of Economic Summit consultations.
The Economic Summit series - announced by the Territory Labour Government upon coming to office - will shape the next 10 years of the Northern Territory’s economic development.
The first round of consultation with business and industry representatives winds up today, with Chief Minister Michael Gunner addressing participants at their final meeting in Darwin.

Northern Land Council - Land Rights News
